Digital Assets Ownership Policy

Effective Date: 01 February 2026

1. Purpose

This policy outlines how digital assets are structured, owned, and managed when working with Aly Sunshyn.

The objective is simple: Clients retain full ownership of their digital infrastructure at all times. Aly Sunshyn operates strictly as a technology consultant and implementation partner — not as a legal owner of client assets.

2. What Qualifies as a Digital Asset

For clarity, digital assets include (but are not limited to):

  • Domain names
  • Hosting accounts
  • DNS management accounts
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Advertising accounts
  • Analytics properties
  • CRM systems
  • Tracking systems and pixels
  • Email platforms
  • Source code repositories
  • Cloud storage environments

This includes platforms such as:

  • Meta Platforms (Business Manager, Ad Accounts, Pixels)
  • Google (Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console)
  • LinkedIn (Company Pages, Ad Accounts)
  • Cloudflare
  • Netlify
  • Stape
  • Any domain registrar or hosting provider

3. Ownership Structure

3.1 Client Ownership

  • All digital assets are created under the client’s legal business name
  • The client’s official business email
  • The client’s payment method
  • The client remains the Primary Owner or Super Administrator of all accounts

3.2 Aly Sunshyn Access

Aly Sunshyn may be granted:

  • Administrator access
  • Partner access
  • Developer access
  • Technical access

Access is granted solely for the purpose of implementation, optimization, and maintenance. Ownership is never retained by Aly Sunshyn.

4. Domain Policy

  • Domain names must always be registered in the client’s name.
  • Domains must use the client’s registrar account.
  • Aly Sunshyn will not retain ownership or control of client domains.
  • If assistance is required during setup, accounts are created using the client’s email and transferred immediately upon completion.

5. Hosting & Cloud Infrastructure

Hosting platforms, CDN services, and deployment environments must:

  • Be registered in the client’s name
  • Use the client’s billing information
  • Provide Aly Sunshyn with appropriate access permissions

This ensures:

  • Clean separation of responsibilities
  • Clear billing transparency
  • Smooth transition if services are discontinued

6. Payment & Advertising Accounts

Advertising accounts (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads):

  • Must be created within the client’s Business Manager or equivalent
  • Must use the client’s payment method
  • Must remain fully accessible to the client at all times

Aly Sunshyn does not pay ad spend on behalf of clients unless a separate written agreement is executed.

7. Source Code & Repositories

Unless otherwise agreed, clients retain full rights to commissioned website code. Repositories may be created under the client’s Git hosting account. Aly Sunshyn may retain copies strictly for portfolio and archival purposes unless restricted by agreement.

8. Termination & Access Removal

  • Upon project completion or termination, clients may revoke access at their discretion.
  • Aly Sunshyn will cooperate fully in transition.
  • No assets will be withheld.

This policy exists specifically to prevent dependency or disputes.

9. Philosophy

Aly Sunshyn operates on a client-first infrastructure model.

If a working relationship ends, the client should be able to:

  • Log in to every account
  • Access all data
  • Continue operating without disruption

That is considered best practice, not a courtesy.
